Spiritual darkness is increasing in the world, and whatever needs to be done has to be done while it is still day. We do not belong to the darkness or to the night. We are the children of the light and of the day. (1 Thessalonians 5:5.)
We are members of the body of Christ, and He Himself is the head. Everything He wants to say and do in these times, He has to say and do through our bodies, that are offered up to do His will.
We must know what our responsibility is in the battle against the powers of darkness. We must know what our high and holy calling is as children of the light, and we must not doubt that we will overcome the evil. (2 Timothy 1:9.) We must stay far away from everything that has to do with darkness. With weapons of the light we will always overcome. We must clothe ourselves with the Spirit of Christ and all the virtues of Christ in the battle against Satan, in whatever way he shows himself.
There are strong spirit-forces that go out from Satan’s kingdom, and these evil spirits take hold of people. That which is noble and good is disappearing, and evil and wickedness are getting stronger. The love that used to bind marriage partners together in faithfulness toward one another until death, has almost disappeared. Instead, a satanic egotism has come in that destroys the homes without thinking of the sufferings of the children.
We must work more than ever before in the Spirit of Christ who unites everything that is noble and good—in the Spirit that has the power to overcome everything that comes from the evil powers.
The mighty Spirit that comes from the throne of God and the Lamb (Revelation 22:1) and that gives eternal peace and joy, cannot be overcome. Light overcomes darkness, and love overcomes hate. We have to know where we stand and what we are fighting for. Do we have fellowship with the powers of light or with the powers of darkness? Are we wholehearted workers in the light against darkness?
